Lynne Fellowes

Lynne was born in New Zealand and moved in 1979 with her husband
and family to Australia where she set about establishing herself as a
papermaker and mixed media artist.

In 2013, Lynne wrote her first book, No Room for Watermelons,
highlighting her retired husband’s solo journey across the world on a
102-year-old motorcycle.

A participant in the 2018 People’s Library Project, Lynne has recently
published her children’s book, Fat Chance. The story features a rare
handfish’s growing concern for the environment and highlights many of Tasmania’s lesser-known rare and endangered species. Despite the dire circumstances the animals find themselves in, the story has an engaging and positive message of hope for young and old alike.

Today, when she isn’t writing, Lynne works as an artist in her Huon
Valley studio.
