Jen Fitzgibbon is a Tasmanian children’s writer, who launched her first book earlier this year. Her background over the past 27 years, is an owner of a registered training organisation, and a management trainer specialising in people skills such as emotional intelligence, recruitment, performance management and leadership. Now semi-retired, she has the quality time to pursue her creative passions, and has founded a new business called “For the Love of Reading.”

“Katie and the Red Rubber Ball” is a gorgeous picture book with a story that encourages resilience and positive emotions. Oscar is Katie’s forever hungry doggie, and he has his own story entwined into the illustrations.

Jen’s second book “The Mindful Fairies”, is a classic fairytale for all those who believe that fairies do live in the bottom of your garden. Readers will meet Tiptoe and Sunbeam, the caring and mindful fairies, with enchanting unicorns, a grumpy frog, a beautiful fairy queen and a nasty goblin. Target audience is 5-11 year age groups, and the story is narrated by a young child that has a special bond with the fae folk. Enchanting characters, with whimsical illustrations by Alyssa Bermudez.

She hopes to launch “Katie and the Blankie” in mid 2018.
