Adam Muyt is a Hobart-based writer who arrived from the Big Island in 2010, attracted by the beauty, relaxed pace and cooler climate of Tasmania.

Adam has been working professionally with plants and nature in one form or another for over three decades. He is the author of three books and numerous articles, papers and reports on various topics including environmental weeds, indigenous flora, bushland management, football history and culture and Dutch migration and history.

Adam’s latest book, Clogball (2023), draws on his Dutch heritage to tell the story of Dutch migration to Australia through the lens of Dutch involvement in local soccer that stretches back to the 1890s.
