We are saddened and shocked by the news of the passing of Thomas Connelly.

Tom has done a huge amount to support writing and writers in Tasmania, running a bookstore, where he hosted writing events, and recently organising the Silver Words spoken word events. Tom also put pen to paper, writing (and performing) his own poetry. He was also a willing volunteer for the TWC, and recently helped out at our Larger Conversation events, contributing thoughtfully to the conversation as well as working behind the scenes. Tom was always insightful, encouraging and incredibly generous.

We will miss his great contribution as well as his cheerful face. Our sympathy goes to his family – we know they will be missing him terribly.
