Get that novel written in new year-long course

The Tasmanian Writers’ Centre is delighted to announce A Novel Journey – nine sessions over the course of 2015 designed to guide both budding and experienced writers alike through the journey of penning their very own masterpieces.

A Novel Journey will be held in Hobart, starting March 29 respectively. The sessions will be held on weekend dates, meaning that emerging authors won’t need to take time off their day jobs to hone their craft.

The Centre has recruited some heavyweight talent in delivering the course. All tutors are experienced and renowned published authors. Robyn Mundy, Tansy Rayner Roberts, Lian Tanner and Julie Hunt are some of the authors who will be delivering their wisdom in Hobart at the Salamanca Arts Centre Meeting Room.

Sessions include structure, narrative, character development, plot, settings and place, style, rhythm and pace, dialogue, polishing, reflection and review, and how to get published. Sessions run for three hours each, and the course will wrap up in mid-November.

Cost for all nine sessions is $550 for TWC members and $700 for non-members. Casual spots are also available.
